Following the sets of Tv5 Monde, Africa 24 TV, Congolese Prime Minister Bruno Tshibala Nzenze was in RFI’s studio to once again carry his voice to international opinion, a few hours from the meeting of the UN Security Council on the DRC, its 72nd Session.
It was a golden plateau to deliver the head of Felix Tshisekedi to this international and even Congolese national opinion. For the Congolese Prime Minister, Felix Tshisekedi has declarations « with the cookie-cutter, it is a great traitor, a materialist-opportunist, » a « Baby Doc » in the UDPS.
In his speech, the former companion of Stephen Tshisekedi justifies these qualifications, one after the other. Demanding a transition without Joseph Kabila after December 31, 2017 as did Felix Tshisekedi on September 5th running « is a cookie-cutter. If there are constraints that make it impossible to hold elections on the agreed date, meaning at the latest December, it is not a reason to say that we have reached the end of our breath, Joseph Kabila has to leave. The agreement says that President Kabila will remain in office until the general elections are held, « he said.
But when are these general elections? Bruno Tshibala promises to hold the « second evaluation meeting of the electoral process to announce the realistic electoral calendar. » Realistic does not amount to saying, according to him, which essentially fixes the holding of elections at the end of this year, but which takes into account all the constraints.
Bruno Tshibala considers himself not as a dissident of the Rally, but as a leader at the head of the « humanist and Tshisekedist » current as opposed to the other current that emerged from the split that he calls « opportunist and katumbist » which initiated an « untimely and immoral » reform in the aftermath of the death of Étienne Tshisekedi, under the presidency of his son, Félix Tshisekedi.
The decision excluding the current Prime Minister of the UDPS is, according to him, a « nonsense. » He remains there and prepares, as the party’s co-founder, to convene the extraordinary congress to endow the UDPS with a president, successor of Étienne Tshisekedi.
Felix Tshisekedi cannot consider Bruno Tshibala a traitor. “Mr. Felix is the one to be considered a great traitor, because at first, most of the members do not accept the practice of a kind of nepotism in UDPS, that after the disappearance of the doctor Duvalier, we may still have baby Docs in the UDPS”.
