The New Year’s Eve Agreement is far from being implemented. Some even consider that it has already succumbed to the principle of obsolescence programmed, even before its scheduled date on 31 December 2017. This is not, however, the opinion of Prime Minister Bruno Tshibala.

This agreement is in full application, according to him, starting with his appointment that would now be accepted by the bishops of the CENCO. « Ask the Bishops of CENCO today, they will tell you that it was a mistake to think so (that his appointment was a breach of the Agreement), » he stated on the microphone of Christophe Boisbouvier.

This application, he reassured, will continue with the handling of emblematic cases, notably those of the President of the Démocratie Chrétienne, Eugène Diomi Ndongala, a close relation of Etienne Tshisekedi, and the moral authority of the G7, Moïse Katumbi.

« We are working on this so that these emblematic cases (Eugène Diomi Ndonga and Moïse Katumbi) are settled, and I think that with the Bishops and the Minister of Justice, we will be able to find a compromise, » he promised.

Yet it is quite a different speech that is held in the Presidential Majority. « Only the Congolese justice can solve the issues, » repeat the presidential family’s tenors.
