The Congolese Minister of Media and Spokesman of the Government deplores the division which is eating away the Rally of the political and social forces for change (Rassop), interlocutor of the Presidential Majority (Mp), as the basis for the deadlock in the current negotiations.

« There is trouble with our opposition partners, the Rally, which must decide which one should be appointed as Prime Minister by the President of the Republic. They have torn each other since this possibility has been given them. We therefore expect them to settle the dispute between them so that they can present the persons among whom the President may select the one who would lead the future government, « said Lambert Mende, who was speaking this morning on The France International Radio (Rfi).

According to him, there are no dilatory tactics on the side of the Presidential Majority in the implementation of the New Year’s Eve Agreement. He sweeps away all the accusations in these words: « I do not know where they place these maneuvers. We signed this agreement and agreed that the Prime Minister should come from the Rally. We started to implement the resolutions of this agreement … The exiles begin to return, the prisoners are released, several media that were closed for provisional measures were allowed to reissue ».

With regard to the elections, he said that the Government was committed to meeting this challenge by deploying all possible means. He said it in these words.

« First of all, we do not organize elections, as far as I know. The Government has already placed at the disposal of the National Independent Electoral Commission nearly $ 300 million. The Government has done its part by requisitioning the equipment from the army and even part of the army fleet to facilitate the deployment of electoral material. What more can one ask of a Government? ».
