On a mission to Tshikapa in Kasai province, President of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Joseph Kabila, reiterated his personal commitment to restore peace in the great Kasai, the theater of violence perpetrated by the Kawmina Nsapu militiamen. It was at the end of the exchanges on Tuesday June 13 with the elected deputies of the province of Kasai.

Joseph Kabila also promised urgent assistance to the victim families of these atrocities.

« The Head of State has reassured us that he will commit himself through the deployment of the forces of order so that the groups of resistance that continue to bereave the Kasaian families are neutralized as soon as possible, » said Theo Kazadi, national deputy, elected from Tshikapa.

In addition, the President of the Republic announced the holding of a peace forum in Tshikapa in the coming days. It will bring together the citizens of the provinces of Kasai in order to establish peace in this part of the DRC.
