The president of the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI), Corneille Nangaa, announced on Tuesday (June 27th) that the CENI has already enrolled 30 million voters, that to say 73% of the expected estimates.
This announcement was made at the launch of a training and awareness-raising workshop for media professionals with the theme « Media and elections in the DRC ».
Beginning on Tuesday, June 27 at the Electoral Information Center (CIEL) in Kinshasa, the workshop will close on Wednesday, June 28.
The process of identification and registration of voters was launched on May 28 in the city of Kinshasa, but since then the inhabitants of the capital are constantly complaining about the mismanagement of the actual operation, in particular because of the Slowness of the CENI agents responsible for issuing the voter card.
